It took me way too long to write all this for you than it should, and with such short word counts as well1.
However, I have created and now will present two brand-new poems, freshly removed from my smoking synapses, for this poetry night. I hope you will enjoy: at the time of this blog's release, I will likely be on the town with my wife for the day.
The first poem is a recollection of some childhood memories and my first indication of the difference between unsettled and settled lands. I think it's all right, but I reserve the right to revise it later if I want to improve on it. The second poem is me talking about finding writing hard and I think I might have somewhat succeeded in not being whiny about it. Anyway, enjoy.
