I’m not really an expert on other people’s creative processes. Having been in different writing groups for more than a decade, I’ve heard everything from those who proudly call themselves “pantsers” (as in seat-of-the-pants) and those who meticulously plan out entire worlds and plotlines in the greatest detail.
If I had to classify myself as either/or one of these categories, I might lean toward the latter. However, if I wanted to properly classify my creative process, one of its biggest elements is what I call the perpetual stew in my mind.
