I’m a bit surprised to be reading so much political stuff on Substack. My own Substack is very much not political oriented and more toward writing. I wanted to read more writing oriented work on Substack, and I do get to them, but not as frequently.
Not that my top three aren’t a group of great writers, however - they’re fantastic.
is just as good as it used to be, is maybe the funniest and most passionate political commentator out there, and fills the big soccer reporting hole in my life left with the passing of .I’d also recommend
as one of the most insightful political and social commentators out there. And as an Iowa resident, I’m proud there is such a great group of writers and journalists such as thecovering the news of my state. Feel free to check them out and others in my recommendations section.
